Caroline Kading, LMFT, CCTP
As a Marriage and Family Therapist I have gained a variety of experience in the field. I have worked with families involved in child protection, individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient setting and intensive in-home setting. The biggest takeaway I learned through those experiences is that we all have our own stuff. Or trauma. Or wounds. Whatever we want to call it. When it is not adequately processed and given the attention it needs to heal, that is when it comes out sideways and manifests as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues.. the list goes on.
All that being said, I use an integrative approach to therapy and am committed to creating a supportive and healing environment for all clients. We are all human and I strive to provide cultural competent therapy and embrace diversity. I pull techniques and interventions from narrative, experiential, polyvagal, brainspotting, and psychodynamic theory.
During my free time I enjoy the occasional Netflix binge, being out in nature, connecting with friends and family and of course cuddles with my little Jack Russell Terrier, Travis. If we are meeting online, Travis is more than likely nearby in his bed and loves to say hi and make a quick appearance.
